Cafe The Zen and Vluchtelingen-Welkom.nl are organizing an event on June 20 for World Refugee Day. This day is dedicated to raise awareness around the refugees’ situation in the world.

All donations will go to Vluchtelingen-Welkom.nl, an international organization focused on placing refugees with local families in order to integrate them quickly into their new society. In the Netherlands, Vluchtelingen-Welkom.nl runs an outreach program because they believe that refugees should not be excluded from society by being placed in mass camps. Instead, they are providing them with a better understanding of the culture, language and customs by matching them with hosts who can give one-on-one support.
